How many times have you been to South-Tyrol?

I have been quite a few times, but always in different spots and for different reasons, such as skiing during the winter months and hiking and photographing during fall time.

What do you like best about South-Tyrol?

The most beautiful part of South-Tyrol is definitely the impressive landscape with its peaks and valleys, there is always something new to explore. But not only the landscape is incredible, South-Tyrol also has a fantastic culinary scene. Almost every mountain lodge and guest house has lovingly prepared dishes and you can truly taste that level of quality.

Do you have a favourite spot in South-Tyrol?

My absolute favourite place in South-Tyrol are the Geisler peaks in Villnöss. You can see them towering over the mountains from far away and they are incredibly stunning. Especially when the sun is rather low (during sunrise and sunset), the rock is illuminated in warm tones of orange and red, which looks completely surreal.

What has been the craziest thing you did in South-Tyrol?

One of the craziest things I did was photographing the stars. I got up in the middle of the night and went out into the cold to capture the milky way with the dolomites in front of it. Thankfully, getting up at night and enduring the night was very well worth it, as South-Tyrol is one of the prime spots to shoot the stars due to the low light pollution

What are your secret recommendations?

In a culinary sense, you cannot go wrong in South-Tyrol. However, fall time, which is apple picking season in South-Tyrol is a special time and the freshly squeezed apple juice is a true delicacy. Apple strudel is also a treat that you should not miss out on during this time.

What is your favourite thing to do in South-Tyrol?

My favourite thing is to be outside in nature, no matter if it is hiking or taking pictures of the mountain ranges. Especially in the morning and evening, when the light is nice and soft and there are fewer people on the streets.
