OUR ❤ PROJECTS

During our travels around the world we discovered a lot of great places. There were also occasions when we were so emotionally moved, leaving impressions that we simply cannot forget or ignore. Therefore we came to the decision to help international humanitarian projects through BIRDS. Each year we will be supporting different projects that have especially touched our hearts.

Let’s all actively help a little bit to change the world for the better!

Ongoing Project 2019/20 (India):

SISP - Sebastian Indian social projects

SISP is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1997 by two guys from Belgian.

They help children from poor regions by giving them a true chance and a better life for their family with the aid of education.

To improve their attendance record in class, SISP offers free skateboard classes for students that attend class regularly.

THE STUDENTS

The student community consists of boys and girls between the ages of 10 to 18. The majority come from poor fishing families that live way below the poverty line.

SISP uses the kid’s passion for skateboarding to get them off the street. They offer them an education, two warm meals per day as well as a little afternoon snack and have managed to get each member insured.

They are not only getting an education, they are offered a safe haven, a place where they can set and realize true goals giving them a chance at life, a much better outlook than their meager and difficult circumstances at home.

With their love and passion for skateboarding and their unstoppable thrive to constantly improve, the kids have made significant progress and can be proud of their success in many national skate-competitions.

PREVIOUS SUCCESS

Four SISP female skaters were invited to Bangalore by “VansIndia” which was a very special life experience for them.

At the “Extreme Nationals” competition in Pune, two of our skaters received the second and third place award for the under 18 category.
